Newly launched London ed tech accelerator seeking applicants | Education Dive

This article is taken from http://www.educationdive.com/news and for its importance for the EdTech start-up world (and Europe in particular) we thought it should be fully and properly shared .

"Dive Brief:
  • London's Emerge Venture Lab last week launched Emerge Education, a new vertical startup accelerator aimed particularly at ed tech startups in Europe.
  • The accelerator is accepting applications through Nov. 17, and aside from seed investment, work space and business support, those selected will receive insight from some of Europe's hottest ed tech founders and access to a pool of educators, institutions and distribution platforms.
  • Partners Volker Hirsch, Neeraj Sharma and Martin Campbell will coach the startups on a weekly basis.
Dive Insight:
Emerge Education is notable because of the relative isolation ed tech startups in the European market experience—there's no "ecosystem," so to speak, in place to meet their specific needs. Among perks the accelerator is offering are access to learning management platform Arbor Education's data model and a new gamification platform developed by leading company Oystercrowd."
